Dr. Alanna Tinney was born and raised in Stony Plain, AB. As a family chiropractor, her goal is to return people to pursuing their passions. She enjoys working with a variety of people, from pregnant mothers, to young athletes and active adults.

Dr. Alanna pursued a Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC.  Her love of movement and helping others led her to continue her education in Portland, OR at the University of Western States. Here she obtained her Doctorate of Chiropractic and graduated as valedictorian. She also received a Master of Science in Sports Medicine, which gave her extensive experience working with athletes and managing sports injuries.

In her spare time, Dr. Alanna can always be found outdoors, whether it’s hiking, scuba diving, skiing or playing hockey on the outdoor rink. She also loves to travel and is always planning her next backpacking adventure. She loves experiencing new cultures and connecting with others.

Dr. Alanna believes in an active approach to care. She utilizes a functional movement assessment to determine the cause of your symptoms and create an individualized treatment plan to help you reach your health goals. Her hands-on treatment addresses the muscles, nerves, joints and movement patterns. She uses rehabilitative exercise, in addition to soft tissue therapy and joint manipulation to help you return to the things you love to do. Dr. Alanna is trained in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Clinical Neurodynamics, ART, RockTape, sports medicine and movement assessment and correction. She prides herself on staying up-to-date on the most recent techniques and research to provide the best possible care.
