Dr. Elise is a chiropractor and newcomer to St. Albert having been born and raised on an acreage outside of Edmonton. Choosing a change of scenery, she pursued a degree in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University in Halifax. During her time in on the east coast, she enjoyed playing for the Dalhousie varsity women’s soccer team. She went on to graduate Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Tor onto, with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. It was during this time that Dr. Elise found a passion for treating the perinatal/pediatric population. This led her to advance her prenatal clinical chiropractic training by becoming certified in the Webster Technique and GROWCO postnatal rehabilitation. She also holds a certification in MPS scar release therapy that she primarily utilizes for treating cesarean scars.
Dr. Elise believes that there is no body system that works alone and that a comprehensive individualized treatment plan will yield the best results. Her evidence-based treatments consist of soft tissue therapy (ART), spinal manipulation, taping, nutritional counseling and tailored rehabilitation exercises. She utilizes a variety of adjusting techniques in order to individualize her care to the patients’ comfort level. Alongside the perinatal population, Dr. Elise has advanced training in treating pediatrics through the Pediatric Intraoral Palate Specific Technique and Baby Begins Torticollis treatment.
Dr. Elise enjoys hiking, camping, and recently has found a love for biking with her baby girl towing behind in a bike carriage. She has always had a passion for sports, such as soccer, snowboarding, and golf. Of course her number one past time is now chasing after her busy one year old!
Dr. Elise and her husband (also a chiropractor!) have recently relocated back to the Edmonton area with their daughter to spend more time with family. She is thrilled to be joining Sublime Health here in St. Albert where she can continue to support families in their pursuit of health through all life’s challenging stages.
